Childreach Tanzania under My School My Voice programme has been implementing exchange (twinning) programme between schools in Tanzania and schools in UK. In this programme children exchange and share experiences on global issues that’s affecting their lives as children and teachers shares teaching skills. Currently 14 primary schools in Tanzania are partnering with schools in UK.
As part of the programme, some schools in UK fundraise for their twin schools in Tanzania just to help them improve the learning environment of their fellow school in Tanzania. Kibo primary in Tanzania has been partnering with Christchurch Primary School, London UK, where pupils managed to raised £4,528. So from the fundraised amount £4000 was spent in kitchen construction and the remaining £528 was spent on My School My Voice programmatically costs. The aim of the project is to improve academic performance of the pupils. This is not the first time as in 2014 Christchurch Primary School raised 4,100 pound equals to 10,352,520 Tsh which was used to on toilet renovation.
